PAEA publishes new versions of the EOR exams on July 27, 2026, and Psychiatry carries the most dramatic task-area shift of any exam: Clinical Intervention doubles from 10% to 20% — therapy modality selection, crisis intervention, level-of-care decisions, and involuntary hold criteria — while Health Maintenance is removed entirely. Sleep-wake disorders arrive as a new 7% content area, and anxiety disorders are split out from trauma- and stress-related disorders into their own 11% category.
