Description
Emergency Medicine EOR Review Built by a Practicing EM PA
The Emergency Medicine EOR is one of the most feared End of Rotation exams — a two-hour, 120-question sprint through the entire acute-care spectrum, from STEMI and stroke to sepsis, trauma, and toxicology. The PAtopia Emergency Medicine EOR Review gives you 5 full-length practice exams (600 board-style questions with detailed explanations) plus a complete 12-chapter study library, all weighted to the PAEA Emergency Medicine EOR blueprint.
What Is the Emergency Medicine EOR Exam?
The Emergency Medicine End of Rotation™ exam is administered by PA programs at the end of the emergency medicine clinical rotation. It contains 120 multiple-choice questions — 100 scored and 20 unscored pretest items — with a two-hour time limit. Cardiovascular disease is the largest content area on the exam, and questions span every organ system plus task areas like diagnosis, diagnostic studies, pharmacology, and clinical intervention.
Updated for the 2026 PAEA Blueprint
PAEA publishes new versions of the EOR exams on July 27, 2026, and the Emergency Medicine EOR blueprint changes with them. The headline shifts: cardiovascular drops to 18% but remains the largest content area, psychiatric/behavioral content rises to 7%, and infectious disease becomes its own 4% content area — sepsis, meningitis, necrotizing infections, and tick-borne illness now stand alone. Task areas move too — Diagnostic Studies jumps from 10% to 15%, and Diagnosis holds at 25%, the only EOR exam where it does. Our questions and study library are organized around the updated blueprint, so your study time is distributed the way the exam actually is. For the full percentage-by-percentage table, see our 2026 Emergency Medicine EOR blueprint breakdown.
