Description
13 PACKRAT Video Lectures — 9 h 51 min (Premium)
PACKRAT Premium adds a complete set of narrated PACKRAT video lectures to the PAtopia PACKRAT Review Course. There are 13 lectures, 9 hours 51 minutes in all: one for each of the twelve PAEA PACKRAT content areas, in blueprint order from Cardiology (14% of the exam) down to Hematology (5%), plus a thirteenth lecture on Infectious Diseases, which the PACKRAT tests inside every category rather than as a section of its own. Each lecture is built from the PAEA PACKRAT Blueprint (2025 update) and its topic list — the same outline the question bank is weighted to — and works through the conditions on that list the way the exam asks about them: how the patient presents, the finding or test that makes the diagnosis, and the first-line management.
The lectures are included with PACKRAT Premium and All-Access Premium, and with every seat on a PA Program License or Remediation Pack. They play inside the PAtopia web app on any phone, tablet or computer, save where you stop so you can resume on another device, and each one hands off to that content area’s topic checklist, practice questions and flashcards so you can test what you just watched.
What’s inside the PACKRAT Review Course
Underneath the video is the full PAtopia PACKRAT Review Course — the same course sold on its own for $49.99, with nothing taken out. It is a PACKRAT study package built around five full-length practice exams, each 225 questions long to match the real PACKRAT form, for 1,125 questions in all. Every question is a board-style clinical vignette with five answer choices, weighted across the PAEA PACKRAT blueprint so that Cardiology, Pulmonology and GI carry the most items and the smaller categories carry their share. Questions reshuffle and answer choices randomize on every attempt, so a retake is a fresh exam rather than a memory test.
Each question comes with a detailed explanation that covers why the correct answer is right and why each distractor is wrong, with clickable citations to peer-reviewed sources and standard references, so you can read further on anything you missed. A study library sits alongside the exams, organized by content area, for the review reading between tests. Flashcards use spaced repetition and are built from your own results, and weak-area review assembles question sets from the categories you are missing most, so the time you have goes to the material that will move your score.
At the end of every exam you get analytics by content area and task area and an on-track readout, and the app keeps a running tally while you test: questions attempted, answered correctly, flagged for review. You can skip ahead, highlight the stem, stop mid-exam and resume exactly where you left off. The course runs in the PAtopia web app in any browser — nothing to install for library or classroom use — and in the PAtopia apps on iPhone, iPad, Android and the Amazon Appstore, with your progress synced across all of them. Access runs 27 months from purchase, long enough to cover the didactic-year PACKRAT and the end-of-clinical-year PACKRAT on one purchase.
How to use the lectures with the question bank
The lectures and the questions are built to the same outline, so the simplest PACKRAT study plan is also the one that works: watch a category, then drill it. Start with Cardiology, the largest category on the exam, and watch the lecture in one or two sittings. When it ends, follow the hand-off into the Cardiology topic checklist and tick off the conditions you feel solid on. Then open the Cardiology question set and work through it, reading the explanation on every question you miss and on every question you got right by guessing. Finish with the Cardiology flashcards, which the app will keep resurfacing on a spaced schedule until you stop missing them.
Move down the blueprint in the same order the lectures are listed — Pulmonology, GI and Nutrition, then the 8% categories, then Urology and Renal, Dermatology and Hematology — and watch the Infectious Diseases lecture last, because it pulls together organisms, antibiotic classes and immunizations that show up inside every other category. Once you have been through the whole library, sit the first full-length exam under timed conditions. Your category breakdown will tell you which lectures to rewatch; weak-area review will build the question sets to go with them. Repeat with exams two through five, spaced out over the weeks before your test date.
Who PACKRAT Premium is for
Most PA programs give the PACKRAT twice: once near the end of the didactic year as a checkpoint, and again toward the end of the clinical year as a predictor of PANCE readiness. PACKRAT Premium is built for both. In the didactic year, the lectures give you a complete, blueprint-ordered pass through the material you have only just finished learning, and the practice exams show you what a 225-question clinical exam actually feels like before you sit one that counts. Before clinicals end, the same library is the fastest way to rebuild the categories your rotations did not touch — a student who spent the year in surgery and emergency medicine can rewatch Psychiatry, Endocrinology and OB/GYN and drill them in a weekend. Students who scored below their program’s PACKRAT cut-off and have been asked to remediate will find the watch-then-drill structure is exactly what a remediation plan asks for.
Premium or Standard?
The only difference between PACKRAT Premium ($99.99) and the standard PAtopia PACKRAT Review Course ($49.99) is the video. Both include the five full-length exams, all 1,125 questions and explanations, the study library, flashcards, weak-area review, analytics, the web app and the mobile apps, and 27 months of access. Premium adds the 13 narrated PACKRAT video lectures — 9 h 51 min of review — for $50 more. If you learn best from a lecture and want a guided pass through the whole blueprint before you start testing, choose Premium. If you already have your program’s lecture notes and want PACKRAT practice questions and exams, the standard course is the better buy. If you have already bought the standard course and want to add the video, email info@cmereviewcourses.com from the address on your order and we will upgrade you for the difference in price. Students who want the PANCE lectures as well, and every other exam in PA school, should look at All-Access Premium, which includes both video libraries.
PACKRAT Premium FAQ
How long are the PACKRAT video lectures?
Thirteen lectures totalling 9 h 51 min. The longest cover the biggest categories — Cardiology (54 min), Pulmonology (51 min) and GI / Nutrition (51 min) — and the full list with lengths is in the table above. Each is split into chapters, so you can watch a single condition or the whole category.
Do the lectures follow the current PACKRAT blueprint?
Yes. The lectures and the question bank are both built from the PAEA PACKRAT Blueprint (2025 update) and its topic list. The twelve content areas are covered one per lecture with the exam’s weighting in mind, and Infectious Diseases — which PAEA tests across every category — has a lecture of its own.
Where do the lectures play?
Inside the PAtopia web app, in any browser on your phone, tablet or computer, and in the PAtopia store apps. Your position is saved to your account, so a lecture you start on your laptop resumes on your phone. There is nothing to download and no separate video login.
Is this the same course as the $49.99 PACKRAT Review Course?
Yes, with the video lectures added. The questions, exams, study library, flashcards and access period are identical. Premium is the course plus the 13 lectures for $50 more.
Can I see the questions and a lecture before I buy?
Yes. The free PACKRAT sample is 25 questions pulled from a full-length practice exam, with the same explanations and citations as the paid course, and the PAtopia Test Drive plays the first 10 minutes of the Cardiology lecture. Neither needs an account or a card.
