Turn Recertification Into a Done-in-One CME Cycle

Recertification asks two things of you across the cycle: keep your CME current, and eventually pass the PANRE. Handled separately, that’s a lot of scattered effort — a webinar here, a conference there, a question bank in the final stretch, and a scramble to confirm the credit adds up before the deadline. Handled together, it’s one project with a clear finish line.

The consolidation comes from a simple fact: the PANRE Review Course is itself 100 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME. When you work through it, the studying is the credit. There’s no separate hunt for enough Category 1 hours, no worrying that your prep “doesn’t count.” The 1,200 blueprint-mapped questions and 5 mock exams that get you exam-ready also fill the large majority of your cycle’s requirement, all documented and ready to log.

Think about what that removes from your year: the mental overhead of tracking two obligations, the last-minute credit scramble, the duplicated effort. Start the course early in your cycle — you get 30 months of access — and you can spread the work at a comfortable pace, knowing that every hour serves both goals at once. By the time you’re ready to sit the exam, your CME is essentially handled.

That’s the whole idea: one deliberate effort, two requirements satisfied. And with the optional $100–$1,500 Amazon or Apple gift-card add-on, an employer allowance can cover it while returning value to you. It’s $399.99 for 30 months. Recertification doesn’t have to be two chores — make it one.
