Nurse practitioner continuing education and credit acceptance can vary significantly from state to state, so each NP should always verify requirements with their individual state board of nursing. While some state boards and employers accept AAPA Category 1 credits for NP license renewal or certification maintenance, others require CE specifically approved by nursing-focused accreditors.
