For Medical Directors: Onboard Every New PA and NP to the Same Standard With an EMtopia or UCtopia Site License

If you direct an emergency department or an urgent care group, you already know the pattern. A new PA or NP is hired, orientation is arranged around whoever is on the schedule, a checklist gets filled out as well as anyone can remember, and a few months later you start over with the next hire. The clinicians change, but the work of orienting them never goes away. Site licensing for EMtopia and UCtopia is built for exactly that cycle.

What a site license includes

A site license gives every enrolled clinician full Bootcamp access for 12 months: all the playbooks with their narrated videos, the decision-rule calculators, the structured phase track, phase quizzes, branching case simulations, landmine drills, the final assessment, and a certificate of completion. After purchase, you tell us who to enroll by name, and seats can be assigned as new clinicians join.

A local layer you control

Every playbook includes a local section. It is where a director records the details that make your site different: when a new APC staffs a case with the physician, how consultants are reached, which order sets and pathways you use, what your transfer arrangements are, and any policies specific to your department or clinic. The clinical core stays consistent and current, while the local layer carries your rules.

An orientation record, not just a resource

The preceptor check-off sheet lists every topic with columns for discussed, observed, and independent. It gives your preceptors a shared plan and gives you documentation of what each new clinician actually covered during orientation. Many departments use it in place of the paper checklist they keep today. Model documentation notes give preceptors a common reference for chart feedback instead of starting from scratch with every new hire.

Pricing

Site licenses are annual. The EMtopia Bootcamp site license is $2,000 per year for up to 10 clinicians, and the UCtopia Bootcamp site license is $1,500 per year for up to 10 clinicians. Each additional block of 10 seats is $500 per year. Groups that staff both emergency departments and urgent cares can choose the combined EMtopia + UCtopia site license, which starts at $3,000 per year and costs less than buying both separately.

For most sites, the math is simple. A handful of individual Bootcamp purchases costs about as much as a site license, and the site license covers every new hire for the whole year, plus the local layer and the orientation record.

Why annual makes sense

Because APC turnover is high, orientation happens every year whether you plan for it or not. An annual license means the next new hire starts with the same material, the same sequence, and the same standard as the last one. The content is kept current as guidelines change, so you are not maintaining a binder on top of running a department.

Start with the test drive

The free test drive of each app includes sample content from every section. Share it with your lead APC or a senior preceptor and ask whether it would make your next orientation easier. For multi-site groups or questions about seat counts, email info@cmereviewcourses.com.
