Daily CME Tips: What a Gift Card Add-On Really Adds to Your PANRE Review Course Purchase

Course price: $399.99
Access: 30 months
Included practice: 2,500+ board-style questions and five 240-question practice exams
CME: Up to 100 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME through the PANRE Clinical Review Module

If you are using an employer CME allowance to prepare for recertification, the PANRE Review Course with Gift Card can combine exam preparation, CME completion, and an optional Amazon or Apple gift card in one purchase.

The important point is that the gift card is not free. It is not a rebate, discount, bonus, or additional CME. It is an optional paid add-on that increases the total purchase price by the exact amount of the card selected.

What the PANRE Review Course Includes

The base PANRE Review Course is $399.99 and includes 30 months of access to online review materials. The course is designed for practicing PAs preparing for the PANRE or PANRE-LA and covers the clinical topics tested on the NCCPA Blueprint.

Included course resources are:

  • 2,500+ board-style practice questions
  • Five full-length practice exams
  • 240 questions per practice exam
  • Detailed answer explanations and cited sources
  • A comprehensive PANRE Study Library
  • Online, self-paced access for 30 months
  • Performance tracking to help identify weaker clinical areas

The five full-length exams provide 1,200 questions in total. The larger question bank allows you to complete targeted practice by organ system and return to missed questions during your study plan.

The 100 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME

The course provides up to 100 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME through the PANRE Clinical Review Module. Those 100 hours apply specifically to the PANRE Review Course.

They do not automatically apply to the separate Pharmacology course. The PANRE Clinical Review Module and the Pharmacology course are distinct educational products, and credit should be claimed only for the activity you complete and according to the applicable accreditation instructions.

To earn the available CME, you must complete the required course content, pass the post-test according to the course requirements, and submit the activity evaluation. Claim only the amount of credit that corresponds to your actual participation.

What a Gift Card Add-On Actually Adds

At checkout, you can purchase an optional Amazon or Apple gift card in denominations from $100 to $1,500.

The gift card value is added directly to the course price. For example:

Purchase option Total price
PANRE Review Course only $399.99
Course + $100 gift card $499.99
Course + $500 gift card $899.99
Course + $1,500 gift card $1,899.99

The calculation is straightforward:

$399.99 course price + selected gift card denomination = total package price

Selecting a $500 card does not reduce the price of the course. It adds $500 to the course price. Selecting a $1,500 card adds $1,500.

The gift card provides zero additional CME hours. It does not change the course requirements, increase the 100-hour CME amount, or provide a discount. Its practical value is that it allows part of an approved CME budget to be used for an Amazon or Apple gift card, if your employer’s policy permits that type of purchase.

How to Use Your CME Budget Carefully

Before selecting an add-on, review your employer’s CME policy. Policies differ regarding:

  • Whether gift card packages are reimbursable
  • Whether personal-use items are allowed within a CME purchase
  • Whether a specific vendor or course format is required
  • Whether the entire purchase must remain under an annual CME limit
  • Whether preapproval is required before purchase

Do not assume that an employer will approve a gift card add-on simply because the course itself qualifies as CME.

Once you understand the policy, match the denomination to your remaining CME allowance. If you have approximately $900 remaining and the course costs $399.99, a $500 add-on produces an $899.99 total before any applicable taxes or fees. If you have a larger approved allowance and want a $1,500 card, the package total is $1,899.99.

The goal is not to select the largest denomination automatically. The goal is to choose an amount that fits your documented allowance and your employer’s reimbursement rules.

Gift cards are processed separately and emailed according to the product terms. The product page states that Amazon and Apple gift cards are generally processed within two to three business days. Gift card packages are also subject to the stated no-refund policy for gift cards.

Why the PANRE Course May Be the More Valuable Purchase

The gift card is useful only if it fits your budget and policy. The primary educational value remains the PANRE course itself.

You receive a long access period, a high volume of practice questions, five complete practice exams, and up to 100 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME through the PANRE Clinical Review Module. This can reduce the need to purchase separate exam preparation and CME products during the same recertification period.

The 30-month access period also gives you flexibility. You can begin with a diagnostic practice exam, identify weak topics, complete focused review, and repeat practice later. You do not need to finish every resource within a short subscription window.

A practical study sequence is:

  1. Take one practice exam to establish a baseline.
  2. Review missed questions by organ system.
  3. Use the Study Library to address knowledge gaps.
  4. Complete targeted question blocks.
  5. Repeat full-length exams under timed conditions.
  6. Track recurring errors rather than relying only on your overall percentage.

This approach turns the question bank into a study plan instead of a collection of isolated quizzes.

PANRE Practice Question

Your patient is a 54-year-old woman who develops sudden right-sided weakness and expressive aphasia while at work. Her last-known-well time was 90 minutes ago. Vital signs are BP 178/102 mm Hg, HR 84/min, RR 16/min, and SaO2 98% on room air. Point-of-care glucose is 104 mg/dL. Noncontrast CT of the head shows no intracranial hemorrhage. Which of the following is the most appropriate next step?

A. Administer aspirin and observe for neurologic improvement
B. Administer IV thrombolytic therapy if no other contraindication is present
C. Lower the systolic BP below 140 mm Hg before treatment
D. Obtain lumbar puncture to exclude subarachnoid hemorrhage
E. Delay treatment until MRI confirms ischemic stroke

Answer: B. Administer IV thrombolytic therapy if no other contraindication is present

This patient has an acute focal neurologic deficit, a clearly defined symptom onset within the treatment window, normal glucose, and CT imaging without hemorrhage. Her BP is below the usual threshold of 185/110 mm Hg required before IV thrombolytic therapy. IV thrombolytic therapy is the appropriate next step if she has no additional contraindication.

Aspirin is not the initial treatment when the patient is otherwise eligible for thrombolysis. More aggressive BP reduction is unnecessary at the current pressure and could reduce cerebral perfusion. Lumbar puncture is not indicated after appropriate initial neuroimaging in this presentation. MRI should not delay time-sensitive reperfusion therapy.

This is the type of decision point emphasized in board-style review: identify the syndrome, confirm the critical exclusion, assess eligibility, and choose the time-sensitive intervention.

Choose the Right Product for Your Goal

The PANRE Review Course is intended for practicing PAs preparing for recertification and seeking associated CME. The separate PAtopia platform is designed primarily for PA students working through PANCE, PACKRAT, EOC, and EOR preparation.

If you are comparing pance prep courses or supporting a PA student, you can use:

PAtopia is separate from the PANRE course and should not be treated as a substitute for the PANRE Clinical Review Module or its associated CME.

Start With the Full Pricing Details

Review the complete PANRE Review Course with Amazon and Apple gift card options before purchasing. Confirm your employer’s CME policy, determine your remaining allowance, and select the denomination that fits your approved budget.

The clearest way to evaluate the package is to separate the components:

  • The PANRE Review Course provides the exam preparation and up to 100 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME through the PANRE Clinical Review Module.
  • The gift card is an optional, paid add-on with no CME value.
  • The total price increases by the full face value of the gift card selected.
