Nurse practitioners may find the clinical content useful, but acceptance of AAPA Category 1 credit for NP licensure or certification maintenance varies by state, employer, and certifying organization. A is incorrect because D-dimer is most useful when the pretest probability is low or intermediate. In a postoperative patient with a high clinical suspicion, a positive result is expected and does not efficiently establish the diagnosis.
