PANRE Review Course: $499.99 for 30 months of access
Includes 2,500+ board-style practice questions
The PANRE Clinical Review Module offers up to 100 AAPA Category 1 CME credits
Amazon and Apple gift card add-ons of $100–$1,500 are paid add-ons, not free gifts.
A completed PANRE-LA quarterly window earns two Category 1 Self-Assessment credits when you answer all 25 questions. NCCPA’s 50% Self-Assessment bonus makes that three credits for NCCPA purposes.
That is a useful, steady addition to your learning and certification maintenance, not a flood of CME. Complete four quarters in a year and the total is eight Category 1 Self-Assessment credits, or 12 with NCCPA’s bonus. That remains a modest contribution compared with the broader Category 1 CME you must continue earning while participating in PANRE-LA.
The format is designed to reinforce learning over time: each quarter has 25 questions, with five minutes per question. You receive immediate feedback, including the correct response, an explanation, and references. Printed or online references are allowed; consulting other people is not. Starting with the second quarter, five topics repeat, and the better of your two responses is counted.
For details on how PANRE-LA fits into your cycle and the current quarterly dates, use the NCCPA Maintain Certification page and NCCPA Key Dates.
PANRE-LA’s Self-Assessment credit comes from participating in its quarterly questions. Your broader CME requirement continues in parallel: NCCPA states that you must keep meeting CME requirements while participating in PANRE-LA.
Think of the quarter as a recurring learning and assessment activity, not as a substitute for other CME. Its feedback can help direct your study, while separate Category 1 CME activities give you another way to build and document credit. The distinction matters when you plan your cycle: don’t assume that completing PANRE-LA quarters alone covers the CME you still need.
The PANRE Review Course is a separate enduring-material CME activity. Its PANRE Clinical Review Module offers up to 100 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. It costs $499.99 and includes 30 months of access. The course is self-paced and delivered as a web app, so you can use it on a phone, tablet, or computer without downloading an app.
To earn credit, review all module content, complete the post-test with a score of 70% or higher (missed questions may be retaken), and complete the activity evaluation. Your certificate states the precise credit earned. Claim only credit commensurate with your participation.
The prep component gives you substantial practice alongside the CME activity: 2,500+ board-style questions across 15 body-system question modules mapped to the NCCPA PANRE blueprint, plus five full-length 240-question mock exams. Each mock-exam question includes a rationale and cited sources. The course also includes a readiness dashboard with attempted-versus-correct tracking, topic-level performance, question flagging, unlimited retakes, and an “on track to pass” indicator at 75% or higher.
The content can support your PANRE-LA preparation as well as traditional PANRE review. PANRE-LA provides immediate feedback and permits references; systematic question practice and review across body systems can help you strengthen recall and identify topics to revisit.

Amazon and Apple gift card add-ons are paid add-ons to the CME purchase, not complimentary gifts. You can select an add-on from $100 to $1,500 in $100 tiers at checkout. Its cost is included in the total package price, so the course and add-on are paid for together in one transaction through CME funds.
The gift card is emailed within 2–3 business days; you do not have to finish the course first. Gift card packages are nonrefundable, so check your employer’s CME policy before purchasing. CME Review Courses is not affiliated with Amazon or Apple.
If you purchase two or more CME courses, a 20% discount is applied automatically to each course. The discount does not apply to gift card add-ons, which remain at face value. You can add a gift card to each course you buy.
You are working an urgent care shift when a 52-year-old patient presents with the sudden onset of the worst headache of their life, a "thunderclap" headache that peaked within seconds, now with mild neck stiffness and photophobia, no fever, no trauma history, and a normal non-focal neurologic exam. Which is the most appropriate next step?
Correct answer: emergent non-contrast CT head
(A) Emergent non-contrast CT head
(B) Discharge with a migraine diagnosis and outpatient follow-up
(C) Empiric antibiotics and a lumbar puncture before any imaging
(D) Outpatient MRI brain scheduled next week
A thunderclap headache requires emergent evaluation for subarachnoid hemorrhage; a normal non-focal neurologic exam does not make outpatient management appropriate. Discharge with a migraine diagnosis risks missing a time-sensitive cause. Lumbar puncture may be considered after CT in the appropriate setting, but imaging comes first in this scenario. Outpatient MRI is not the acute next step.
Exam note: Sudden “worst headache of life” onset is the trigger phrase for a subarachnoid hemorrhage workup: the exam answer is imaging first, not reassurance.
The course’s Neurology question module includes 107 questions for further review of neurologic presentations.
The PANRE Clinical Review Module is part of Comprehensive Clinical Review for Practicing PAs: 2026–27 Enduring CME Activity. Its AAPA reference number is CME-2016187, with approval valid 8/26/2026–8/26/2027. The program-level accreditation statement covers 14 modules and 468.75 AAPA Category 1 credits total; the PANRE module itself accounts for up to 100 credits. Claim only credit commensurate with your participation.
This 100-credit offering applies to the PANRE Review Course only, not the Pharmacology course. For physicians, the activity meets AAPA Category 1 requirements, but physicians report it as Category 2 for their own CME. Nurse practitioner acceptance of AAPA Category 1 credit varies by state; confirm with your state board of nursing.
PANRE-LA participation rules and quarterly dates can change. Check NCCPA Maintain Certification and NCCPA Key Dates for the requirements that apply to your own cycle.
